The Super Roomies are a foursome of fearsome superheroes who also happen to share an apartment. Together, they do their darnedest to protect the Big City from a variety of villainous bad guys–all while navigating the issues that arise when you share an apartment with other people (such as putting an empty milk carton back in the fridge, staying up way too late watching TV, and, yes, failing to do your fair share of cleaning up).
The first book in THE SUPER ROOMIES series, Lake of Slime, hits shelves on May 5th, and is part of a new line of Simon & Schuster’s Simon Spotlight books launching that same day. These books, called Star Chapter Books, are “the perfect bridge for kids moving beyond beginning readers but not yet ready for longer chapter books. Lake of Slime–which was recently named a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection–will be followed by a second installment of THE SUPER ROOMIES series, Paint the Town Pink, in August of 2026. And in 2027, a third book in the series will be released.
